KUALA LUMPUR: A special assembly will be held during the upcoming Umno general assembly to discuss the amendment of two clauses in the party's constitution, says Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan.
The Umno secretary-general said the special assembly would be held after the presidential policy speech next Friday .
The general assembly, which was postponed from last year, will commence next week from Jan 11 to 14 involving a total of 5,523 representatives. In comparison to previous assemblies, he said delegates would usually address pressing issues which involved the economy, education and religion, among others."Previously, the majority of the Cabinet consisted of our party members so we could address the issues.
