UMNO tidak membincangkan calon perdana menteri baharu untuk menggantikan Dr Mahathir Mohamad, kata pengerusi jawatankuasa penasihat parti tersebut, Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah. Katanya, calon itu hanya akan ditentukan oleh Yang di-Pertuan Agong selepas yakin ahli Parlimen tersebut mendapat sokongan daripada majoriti ahli Dewan Rakyat.
