IPOH: Umno members need to respect the decisions made during the party's general assembly, says Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad.
“The general assembly is the highest entity in the party, so any decision made during it must be respected by all members.
“Whether we agree or not with the decisions made, we have to respect them,” he told reporters after attending a ground-breaking ceremony in Lahat on Tuesday . On Jan 15, during the party general assembly, Umno delegates had given overwhelming support to a motion of no contest for the party president and deputy president posts in the upcoming party polls.
Party president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan will retain their posts for another term.Article type: free
