Beliau berkata, berdasarkan apa yang telah ditandatangani antara UMNO/BN dan kerajaan Sabah, kerjasama yang ada pada hari ini harus dikekalkan.
Itu jaminan Timbalan Perdana Menteri yang juga Pengerusi BN, Datuk Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi bagi mewujudkan kestabilan politik di Sabah.
Walau bagaimanapun, beliau berharap agar jawatan-jawatan dalam syarikat berkaitan kerajaan atau ketua kampung juga terus dikekalkan seperti yang telah dipersetujui. Malah, UMNO/BN juga mewujudkan sekretariat kerajaan perpaduan di peringkat negeri yang diketuai oleh Datuk Yakub Khan manakala di peringkat pusat sekretariat itu diketuai oleh Datuk Dr. Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki.
