T Mohan says the party can do so if it gives Umno an advantage in Malay seats.

MIC vice-president T Mohan said BN had always upheld the concept of unity, regardless of the candidate’s ethnicity.

He was quoted as saying that MIC had no objections to the proposal, especially if it involved contesting Malay seats. “If the constituency is a predominantly a Malay area, then that’s possible,” he said, according to Berita Harian.“We always stand together with MCA as well as the parties from Sabah and Sarawak.”Mohan acknowledged that MIC could not win using its own ticket and depended on other BN parties for support.
