The remaining time will be dedicated to acquiring teaching experience and educational qualifications. To be eligible for this position, applicants must hold a doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign qualification. The degree must have been awarded no more than seven years before the application deadline. Exceptions may be considered for documented career interruptions, such as sick leave or parental leave. Assessment criteria will include research excellence, teaching proficiency, and administrative competence. The general basis for the assessment of an assistant professor at Umeå University is good cooperative skills and the expertise and suitability required to complete the work duties satisfactorily. Upon appointment, research expertise will be weighted the highest (3), followed by teaching expertise (2), and administrative expertise (1)
