The movie tells the story of a group of ballerinas whose bus breaks down while traveling to a dance competition. Thurman plays Devora Kasimer, a former ballerina-turned-roadside inn manager. When the dancers head to Kasimer's nearby inn, they quickly realize not everything is as it seems, and their very survival is at stake. Ahead of its March 25 release date, Prime Video has released the trailer for Pretty Lethal, which teases the lengths to which Thurman's character will go to terrorize the ballerinas. The video begins with the dancers anticipating the Budapest Showcase, an event that could change their lives and that"only the world's best dancers get invited" to. After their bus breaks down amid a downpour, they head to Kasimer's inn and get introduced to the manager herself. She reveals that she's a former dancer and spent years dedicating her life to the craft, only to face disappointment in the end. That's when the mood starts to shift, and the ballerinas and their coaches realize they need to get out of there. They run through the hallways, looking for a way to escape. Later, their ballerina costumes are covered in blood, after some mysterious nightmare occurs at the inn, and they start freaking out and wondering if they will ever be able to escape."No one is coming to save us," one of them warns. The dancers then take it upon themselves to stand up to the horrors within those walls. They grab any kind of weapon they can find, including scissors, a utility knife, a hammer and a gun."We're prima ballerinas, so don't tell me you're not strong," a dancer tells one of her teammates who's scared out of her mind. The group turns into killer ballerinas as they fight back, which leads Kasimer to say,"There are naughty little girls in the house. Find them and silence them." The rest of the trailer shows intense and action-packed fight scenes in which the dancers do everything possible to survive Kasimer's wrath.
