Ukrainian software developer MacPaw has made its CleanMyMac app even better and it's done this despite being under attack from hostile Russian forces.
... [+]CleanMyMac is one of those handy pieces of software that takes care of the housekeeping chores, ensuring your Mac carries on running like a well-oiled machine without clogging itself up with gigabytes of log files and other system dross that can turn it into an anesthetized slug.
These kinds of software often come in for a lot of criticism, especially from Mac purists who will tell you everything something like CleanMyMac can do can also be done using the Terminal app in macOS. That’s all fine and well if you know all the complicated commands and are proficient in fiddling around with your Mac under the hood. But if you’re like most people, who simply want to keep their Mac running fast and uncluttered, then a program like CleanMyMac is a good idea.
I’m pretty good with macOS, but I have been using CleanMyMac for quite a few years and I don’t think I would like to manage without it now. MacPaw is the developer behind this useful piece of software and the company is based in Kyiv, Ukraine. Understandably, the MacPaw team is under pressure right now with the illegal invasion of their country, but it hasn’t stopped them from updating the app to make it even better.
The new CleanMyMac has been expanded to include new tools for monitoring the health of Macs. The new functionality is now available as a free upgrade to all users of the software. The new Menu App functionality is designed to increase the longevity of any Mac by adding five detailed health monitors. These updates will give users general information about their Mac’s health, pressure, temperature and consumption processes.
