08:52:35After the city of Kherson was liberated by Ukrainian troops,has been speaking to jubilant crowds on the outskirts of Kherson.
Kherson was one of the first Ukrainian cities to be captured in the war Moscow waged on its neighbour in February. The deal allowing the export of food and fertilisers from several of Ukraine's Black Sea ports - brokered by the United Nations and Turkey - could end on 19 November if Russia or Ukraine object to its extension.
The United Nations says more than 10 million tonnes of grain and other food has been exported from Ukraine under the deal.The UK's Ministry of Defence has released its latest intelligence update on the crisis in Ukraine after President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the city of Kherson had been returned to Ukrainian hands.
The report goes on to say that it is likely that Ukraine has retaken large areas of Kherson and its forces are now"largely in control of Kherson city itself".Nuclear inspectors have reported back from the Kharkiv Institute of Technology, saying the facility is badly damaged. The team from the International Atomic Energy Agency visited between 8 and 10 November.
Since Russian forces pulled out of the city, there has been an explosion of memes and art featuring watermelons on Twitter. Celebrations are continuing into the night in Kherson after Russian troops pulled out of the city. It appears the celebrations are continuing, with more people in Ukraine's capital heading out wearing Ukrainian flags and the blue and yellow colours of their country. The Russian president is trying to distance himself from his troops' chaotic withdrawal, according to a Ukrainian military expert.
