Ukraine launched more than 100 drones at Russia and the occupied Crimean Peninsula early on Saturday, local time, which Russia's defence ministry said had been shot down.Ukraine's General Staff said on Saturday "at least 2,000 tons" of weaponry, including missiles supplied by North Korea, were destroyed in a night-time drone strike that targeted depots in Russia's south and north-west.
Also on Saturday, an ammunition depot and missile arsenal in the southern Russian region of Krasnodar also caught fire and caused a series of blasts, triggering evacuations near Tikhoretsk. Authorities later announced a state of emergency around the town. Earlier in the week a separate military depot was struck by Ukrainian drones in Toropets itself, which was described by the UK defence ministry as "one of Russia's largest strategic ammunition depots directly supporting its operation in Ukraine".
Shortly after the strike, Mr Terekhov said seven civilians, including three children, were hurt after Russian Su-34 fighters dropped guided precision bombs on three Kharkiv districts. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is set to present his "victory plan" to Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in the White House.Mr Zelenskyy has regularly alluded to the plan's preparation, but has not publicly outlined its contents, saying only that it contains terms acceptable for Ukraine to negotiate with Russia.
