Russian forces launched a large-scale missile and drone attack on Ukraine on Tuesday night, causing destruction in multiple regions and damaging the country's energy infrastructure, officials said.Ukraine's Defense Ministry said Russia targeted the cities of Lviv, Vinnytsia, Kyiv, Poltava, Ivano-Frankivsk, and the Kirovohrad and Zaporizhzhia regions. Air defense systems downed 39 out of 55 Russian missiles.
'Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, DTEK thermal power plants have been attacked approximately 180 times. During this time, 51 workers were injured and three power engineers were killed in shelling at the stations.'Ukraine's Minister of Energy German Galushchenko said electricity generation and transmission facilities were struck in six regions.'The enemy does not abandon plans to deprive Ukrainians of light.
