As we mentioned earlier, a drought has been declared in eight regions of the UK as Britain continues to face an unprecedented summer of heatwaves.

Labour are calling on Downing Street to boost Britain's resilience and publish the National Resilience Strategy. England's reservoirs were at their lowest level of any July on record since 1995 last month - at only 65% capacity. They were the lowest at Colliford reservoir in Cornwall - at 43% capacity, followed by nearby Stithians at 44%, and Derwent Valley in Derbyshire at 45%.Heatwaves 'could become the norm' due to climate change
