More than 377,300 people have been infected by the novel coronavirus across the world and 16,520 have died, according to a Reuters tally.Johns Hopkins University's tracking tool said 16,574 people had died and 382,644 people had been infected.Ministers must issue clearer advice on how the UK's lockdown will function, the former chief constable of Greater Manchester Police has said.
