BRITAIN should start easing its lockdown from Monday, with schools and pubs open by June if there's no huge second spike in coronavirus cases, a former World Health Organisation adviser has suggested.if the country was kept locked up.Experts are urging Boris Johnson to ease the UK lockdown from next weekHe is urging ministers to allow small businesses, shops and garden centres to open first, the Telegraph reported.
But his optimism is countered by more cautious Government scientists, who think that the country must be careful about reopening again. The Telegraph also claimed that the Department for Transport were looking at recommending masks for everyone using public transport to stop the spread of the bug any further.Ministers are still mulling over whether to change official guidance to urge Brits to wear them.MORE than two thirds of Britons say the UK-wide lockdown should stay until the coronavirus is "fully contained".
More than half of respondants in Russia, China, Italy, India and Germany said that re-opening of some places should happen.Gideon Skinner, Head of Political research at Ipsos MORI said: "Our latest polling across 14 countries show that Britons are the most cautious when it comes to reopening the economy, being the least keen for businesses to reopen if the Coronavirus is not contained.
