While the museum is 'committed to being more inclusive,' and chooses never to repeat Dahl's anti-Semitic statements, it will keep a record of what he wrote in its collection, 'so it is not forgotten.' U.K. Roald Dahl Museum acknowledges author's racism:
Roald Dahl, the creator of children classics like"Charlie And The Chocolate Factory","Matilda", and"The BFG", died in 1990
Dahl, the creator of books such as "Matilda", "The BFG" and "Charlie And The Chocolate Factory" who died in 1990, made offensive remarks about Jewish people in a 1983 interview with the New Statesman magazine. The museum said it was "committed to being more welcoming, inclusive, diverse, and equitable in all aspects of our work," revealing steps it had been taking to achieve that.
The museum noted it chooses not to repeat Dahl's anti-Semitic statements publicly, but keeps a record of what he wrote in its collection, "so it is not forgotten".
