SIBU: Sarawak recorded one new Covid-19 case over the past 24 hours here, bringing the total number of positive cases to 571.
The State Disaster Management Committee said in a statement on Sunday that Case 571 is a 32-year-old man who had just come back from Britain on June 17.
"He entered the country on a flight from the UK to Kuala Lumpur on June 17. He flew back to Sibu from Kuala Lumpur the next day and has been quarantined. “Up to now, the total number of patients who recovered and were discharged from hospitals are 537 or 94.05%," it said. There are 17 persons who are still receiving treatment at the hospital isolation ward and the number of deaths remains at 17.
Over the past 24 hours, a total of 19 PUI were reported and four cases are still awaiting lab test results.The total number of districts that have been declared as a yellow zone is now at three while there are 37 green districts.
