Finger-prick test to be made available soon will tell people if they have had Covid-19
What is the coronavirus home test? It is a finger-prick antibody test that will tell you whether you have been infected with the Sars-CoV2 virus which causes Covid-19. It detects the presence of antibodies in your blood that show your immune system has responded to the coronavirus. It cannot tell you if you currently have the virus; it is for people who have had symptoms and recovered, so that they will know they are no longer infectious and can return to work.
