The Princeton Review on Tuesday named the undergraduate entrepreneurship program number one in the country for the fourth year in a row.

“You can go a lot of places and study entrepreneurship, but if you want to be an entrepreneur, there is no better place than UH,” Cook said. “I honestly feel very, very prepared, especially to tackle the financial part of my business,” she said.The program’s results are tangible: Graduates of the Wolff Center cohorts have created 1,640 businesses in the past decade and raised more than $400 million from their companies, according to the university. The majority of students currently in the program are in the first generation of their family to attend college, and more than half are also paying their way through school.
The Wolff Center opened in 2007, named for Houston philanthropists Cyvia and Melvyn Wolff. It was sustained by a $13 million gift from the Cyvia and Melvyn Wolff Family Foundation in 2019 as well as other multi-million dollar grants and student scholarships. Wisam Nahhas and Nour Baki, who graduated in 2011 and 2013, respectively, launched a start-up in summer 2015 called FuelMe, which brought gas to students’ cars on campus. They spun off into a company that supplies gas to companies’ fleets, called Instafuel – and this year, they were acquired by Shell.
