Uggah urges Sarawakians to co-operate in tackling Covid-19

Sarawak Deputy Chief Minister Amar Douglas Uggah Embas says private hospitals have been warned to prepare to take on non-urgent cases in the event Covid-19 specialist hospitals have to make room available for an influx of patients. – The Malaysian Insight pic, March 15, 2020.

ALTHOUGH only 20 positive cases of Covid-19 have been reported in Sarawak so far, the people have been urged to co-operate by adhering to Health Ministry guidelines to contain the spread of the disease. Sarawak Deputy Chief Minister Amar Douglas Uggah Embas, who is also the State Disaster Management Committee chairman, said if the disease continues to spread, the fear is that there would not be enough hospital beds for patients.
