Hooker beat Nasrat Haqparast by unanimous decision at UFC 266 in September 2021. However, he lost back-to-back fights to Islam Makhachev when Hooker stepped in as a late replacement in October 2021 at UFC 267, and he suffered a TKO loss to Arnold Allen in March 2022.
Don't be surprised if the loser of this fight finds themselves in the Octagon with Paddy Pimblett. After his statement first-round submission win over King Green, Pimblett is ranked No. 15, and his next opponent figures to be ranked somewhere between eighth and 11th at lightweight.
