A new study out of UCSF found that there was no difference in experience for women who received medication to induce an abortion who did or did not get an ultrasound first

On the heels of the second anniversary of the overturning of Roe v. Wade, a new UCSF study published Monday that found no difference in outcomes for those who received abortion medication through telehealth versus those who received ultrasounds prior to their abortions.

In the two years since the Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization decision in the U.S. Supreme Court ended the constitutional right for women to obtain abortions, the procedure has become increasingly restricted on the state level, with 14 states banning it outright, and 11 others limiting it to various stages of pregnancy.

“People are very accurate at self-assessing how far along they are,” she said. “Especially if they're more than 10 or 11 weeks pregnant, which is when most providers will offer medication abortion.” Palm founder Jeff Hawkins’ next big thing is an AI that learns like humans A mobile computing pioneer, Hawkins has spent much of the last 20 years focusing on his true love, neuroscience.
