UConn star suffers head injury as No. 2 Huskies go 0-3 at Maui Invitational

Junior forward Alex Karaban suffered a head injury in the team’s latest loss at the Maui Invitational and had to be transported to the hospital.
“We can’t predict what the scan will be, but we anticipate it being normal,” said team doctor Robert Arciero after No. 2 UConn’s 85-67 loss to Dayton, who added Karaban “looks pretty good,”araban, who opted to return to UConn to bid for a historic three-peat after testing the NBA Draft waters, made four of his team’s eight 3-pointers and scored 15 of his team-high 21 points in the first half to lead the Huskies , who lost all three games they played at the tournament against unranked teams.
