With their season set to get underway tonight at 5:30 p.m. against the Purdue Boilermakers, your UCLA Bruins women’s basketball team is looking like one of the best in the county. The program is looking to improve upon its run to the Sweet Sixteen a year ago, through both internal player growth and one key new frontcourt addition in particular.
However, head coach Cori Close isn’t paying attention to the ranking and is trying to make sure that the Bruins start the year off well. She understands that a ranking is just that and that the Bruins need to show out to start there.
