The Bruins, feeding off an unrelenting front seven, are racking up interceptions, sacks and tackles for losses
UCLA’s five interceptions in two games ties for third nationally. But there’s still improvements that can be made within the Bruins’ secondary ahead of Saturday’s game against North Carolina Central.
Another change that could be coming to the secondary is Jadyn Marshall’s possible transition to cornerback. The former receiver was seen practicing with the corners during Tuesday morning’s practice and getting plenty of attention and instruction from cornerback coach Kodi Whitfield. “We were pleased with that,” Bruins coach Chip Kelly said. “But now, that’s the standard that we have to hold ourselves to. We’ve gotta be able to continue not shooting ourselves in the foot and not setting ourselves back a little bit.”
