A group of students allegedly celebrated Adolf Hitler’s birthday on the UC Santa Cruz campus, the university announced last week.
Mitch Diamond/Getty ImagesThe students allegedly sang happy birthday and ate cakes decorated with “hateful and horrific symbols” on April 20, Akirah Bradley-Armstrong, vice chancellor for student affairs and success, said in a news release published Sunday.
The university received another report that a student found an antisemitic and anti-LGBTQ flyer on their car windshield in downtown Santa Cruz on April 21, officials said.
