While Ubisoft’s XDefiant started out mocked for its name, once people actually got their hands on it, the buzz was generally positive, a throwback to the type of shooters many players had been missing after all COD’s changes over the years.that they had failed PlayStation and Xbox certification in August. This is not uncommon for games , and it seemed like it wouldn’t be that big of a deal.
Well, here we are in mid-October and we have a new update, but a less promising one that even the cert stuff. XDefiant has now delayed its launch indefinitely as players “had surfaced some inconsistencies with the game experience that we need to address prior to launching our Preseason.” They then “made the hard decision to delay the Preseason of XDefiant.”
, who cites examples of the kinds of things going wrong. He talks about how a slide felt “nerfed or clunkier” but digging into that revealed it was the result of frame spikes rather than a bug. That’s the kind of stuff they want to clear out ahead of launch.

The Asian Games close in China as the hosts dominate the medal count.
