After a week off, the UAB Blazers begin AAC play with one of the hottest teams in the country.
The UAB Blazers enter week five at 1-2, staring down the barrel of the toughest stretch of their 2024 schedule.
Quarterback Blake Horvath, the centerpiece of Navy’s triple-option offense, is coming into Protective Stadium following one of the best single-game performances by a quarterback in 2024. It’s the tallest task for his defense thus far and likely the key to staying in the game for UAB, who hung with Arkansas in their last outing but ultimately fell 27-37.
The Blazers’ defense ranks third in the nation in passing yards allowed per game, only letting up 102.7 yards through the air a game, and have held passers to only 29 completions total through three games.
