Wholesale inventories were flat in March for the second straight month, the Commerce Department said Monday.
Sales fell 2.1% in the month after a 0.4% gain in February.

The ratio reflects how long it would take a company to sell all the goods sitting on warehouse shelves.Businesses have trimmed production to bring inventories more in line with demand. That could also depress the economy.
