The majority of the doses will be distributed through COVAX, but the U.S. will “retain the say” on where they ultimately go.

Thursday that the U.S. will prioritize needy nations in Latin America, the Caribbean, South and Southeast Asia, and Africa.

Roughly 6 million doses will be divided up in the following South and Central American countries: Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Costa Rica, Peru, Ecuador, Paraguay, Bolivia, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Panama, Haiti and the Dominican Republic.
