Currently, 27 states have passed legislation mandating instruction in schools to prevent child sexual abuse, according to. An additional eight states encourage or recommend the same instruction. The bill’s namesake, Jenna Quinn, who grew up in a Dallas suburb, came forward as a teenager with her story of child sexual abuse by a family friend.
