CLEVELAND, Ohio - U.S. Rep. Liz Cheney, a Wyoming Republican who backed ex-President Donald Trump’s impeachment and is spearheading a congressional probe of the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol, will appear at the City Club of Cleveland on Nov. 1 for a conversation with PBS NewsHour anchor and managing editor Judy Woodruff, the club announced Monday.

The daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney and former National Endowment for the Humanities chair Lynne Cheney, Liz Cheney was first elected to her congressional seat in 2016. She served as the chair of the House Republican Conference before she broke with party leaders by denouncing Trump’s actions and becoming Vice Chair for the House Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol.

In order to accommodate a larger than usual audience, the event will be held at Cleveland State University in the Glasscock Ballroom. Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. and the program begins at noon.
