It’s the first time the committee has issued subpoenas to sitting members of Congress.

Jim Jordan and four other Republican lawmakers have been subpoenaed by the select committee investigating the January 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol, the committee announced Thursday.
The committee, which is bipartisan but consists mostly of Democrats, also issued subpoenas to House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy of California, as well as Republican U.S. Reps.
