U.S. Rep. Dave Joyce on Tuesday is projected to win his race against a pair of Republican primary challengers who alleged he’s insufficiently conservative to represent the newly reconfigured 14th congressional district, according to the Associated Press.
“During my time in Congress, I’m proud to have led the fight to protect the Great Lakes, provide resources to combat the opioid epidemic, and cut spending to grow our economy. I promise to continue working tirelessly to represent the people of Ohio and get things done,” said a statement from Joyce. “The campaign does not end with this primary victory. I plan on continuing to campaign aggressively to win the faith of all voters this November.
