- The U.S. government has tracked activists and journalists involved in the migrant caravan from Central America at the end of 2018, NBC News reported on Wednesday.
The documents dated Jan. 9, 2019 were titled “San Diego Sector Foreign Operations Branch: Migrant Caravan FY-2019, Suspected Organizers, Coordinators, Instigators and Media,” according to NBC 7 in San Diego. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security referred questions on the report to U.S. Customs and Border Protection .
Thousands of migrants from Central America reached the San Ysidro Port of Entry in south San Diego County in November.
