'Worst is over,' New York's Cuomo says as U.S. grapples with reopening

“We are nearing the peak right now,” Robert Redfield, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention told NBC’s “Today” show. “You’ll know when you’re at the peak when the next day is actually less than the day before.” Redfield refused to give a time frame for the re-opening of the U.S. economy and praised social-distancing measures that he said helped curb the mortality rate.
