U.S. Ambassador to Mexico Ken Salazar held a press conference at the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce to talk about binational business matters Tuesday. Salazar speaking at the podium with Jessica Anderson, Chamber executive vice president and chief operations officer. U.S.
“This includes making sure we have cutting-edge technology combined with the joint operations that are critical to curbing the trafficking of arms, drugs and people, while expecting and supporting lawful trade between the United States and Mexico,” Salazar said when talking about border security. In what may have been his last visit to the region as ambassador, Salazar, who was appointed by President Joe Biden, reflected on what’s next for U.S.-Mexico relations once President-elect Donald Trump takes office.
“Not just for trade, but also for migration and all the rest. And I think things will work out,” Sanders said. “There’s a lot of close relationships, and there’s a lot of people who want to see it work out on both sides of the aisle. So I anticipate a good transition.”
