HANGZHOU: National men’s singles shuttler Ng Tze Yong stunned former world champion Loh Kean Yew of Singapore in a second round Asian Games match at the Binjiang Gymnasium today.

Tze Yong is set to face world No 35 Kantaphon Wangcharoen of Thailand, who beat Maldves’ Hussein Zayan Shaheed 21-3, 21-5, for a spot in the quarterfinals tomorrow. “Sometimes I beat the top players but I have trouble maintaining that consistency. I hope to overcome that.”
