Wide receiver Tyreek Hill expresses his openness to exploring other opportunities after a disappointing 2024 season with the Miami Dolphins.
Tyreek Hill has expressed his willingness to depart from the Miami Dolphins following a disappointing 2024 season . During a post-game press conference after their season-ending loss to the New York Jets, Hill stated, 'I don't even know' when asked about his message to teammates. He admitted, 'This is my first time that I haven't been in the playoffs, man. For me, I've just got to do what's best for me and my family.
Whether that's here or whoever the case may be, I'm finna opening that door for myself.' Hill further clarified, 'I'm opening the door. I'm out, bro. It was great playing here, but at the end of the day I got to do what's best for my career. I'm too much of a competitor to be just out there.' While initially hesitant to confirm his potential departure, Hill eventually hinted at his possible exit on social media by thanking Dolphins fans for their support. Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel downplayed Hill's comments, stating, 'I'm not going to put too much weight on second-hand postgame disappointment statements.' He expressed confidence in addressing the situation directly with Hill in the coming days. Hill is currently under a three-year, $90 million extension signed with the Dolphins in August 2021. Despite a relatively down year in 2024, Hill remained productive in his ninth season, recording 81 receptions for 959 yards and six touchdowns in 17 games played. This marks his lowest yardage and touchdown output since his rookie year, excluding the 2019 season when he played in only 12 games with the Kansas City Chiefs
