No matter where the Typewrite Rodeo goes, a crowd is sure to show up.

PUBLISHED 9:00 AM CST Feb. 11, 2023AUSTIN, Texas — The sound of old typewriters fills the air outside an Austin coffee shop. Sean Petrie and LaCole Foots make up the Typewriter Rodeo. You give them a topic and they write you a free poem on the spot. The group formed about 10 years ago.

"I had someone ask for a poem for them to propose to their partner and I thought that was really cute. Someone's being proposed to by a poem. I hope they liked it as well!" said Foots.
