Shough, a former Oregon quarterback, won the starting job for Texas Tech in 2021 and 2022 but was limited by injuries in both campaigns.
Shough will enter his sixth season at the collegiate level and his third with the Red Raiders
In two seasons at Texas Tech, Shough has thrown for 2,176 yards, 13 touchdowns and seven interceptions while completing 63% of his passes.He secured Texas Bowl MVP honors after showcasing some dual-threat ability against Ole Miss. In that game, Shough threw for 242 yards and a score to go with a career-high 111 yards rushing and two touchdowns on the ground.
