Hours before Tuesday’s highly anticipated matchup between the USMNT and Iran, Adams’ girlfriend took to Instagram, where she shared a handful of photos from her time in Qatar.

The USMNT needs a win over Iran to advance to the knockout stage. Adams, who was told by an Iranian journalist during the media session that he mispronounced Iran, gave a response to remember when asked about discrimination in the US.

Not everyone has that ease and the ability to do that and obviously it takes longer to understand. Through education, I think it’s super-important.
