Two people — a women inside her home and a man walking to the store — were wounded in Oakland shootings Monday night.
OAKLAND — A woman inside her East Oakland home and man walking to a store in North Oakland were wounded in in shootings that happened about the same time Monday night, authorities said.The 24-year-old woman was shot in the lower back about 10:31 p.m. Monday as she lay on a couch inside her home in the 1900 block of 108th Avenue, authorities said.
At about the same time, a 35-year-old man was shot in the leg in the 6400 block of San Pablo Avenue, police said. Police are trying to determine a motive for the shooting and whether the man was the intended target or hit by a stray bullet.Police and Crime Stoppers of Oakland are offering up to $5,000 in reward money in each shooting for information leading to the arrest of the suspects.
