The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced a recall of two variants of Wicklow Gold cheddar cheese distributed by Abbey Specialty Foods due to potential Listeria contamination. The recalled cheeses are Wicklow Gold Cheddar Nettle & Chive and Wicklow Gold Cheddar Tomato & Herb. Listeria can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections, particularly in vulnerable individuals.
