The two teen suspects were arrested at their separate homes, and investigators said the victim and suspects knew each other and went to Lakewood High School. The suspects have been charged with first-degree assault, first-degree robbery and first-degree kidnapping.
On December 17, officers responded to the area of Olympic Drive and Rainier Drive in Everett after a 911 caller reported a teenager covered in blood had arrived at their home.According to probable cause documents, video surveillance from the home's front door showed a naked teenager ringing the doorbell while covered in blood, disemboweled, and struggling to breathe.When officers arrived, they found the victim, a 14-year-old boy, on the front steps. He had traumatic injuries, was covered in blood, had multiple stab wounds and scratches, and was only wearing socks. The letter 'N' was cut into his chest, and his head was swollen.The victim told officers he had been stabbed at Lions Park and that one of his attackers was in the 'Norteno' gang, according to charges filed. Before the attack, the victim had been communicating with a girl over social media and arranged to meet her the night of December 16. After picking him up, the victim suggested they go to Lions Park to hang out and smoke.The victim told investigators he believed the girl was messaging others to let them know they were headed to Lions Park and suspected she was setting him up because she had 'set up one of his friends and attacked her.' When they arrived at the park, the victim got out of the car. As he was about to open the door for the girl, two people approached him from behind, grabbed him and took him into a wooded area.
