Two teenagers have been arrested and charged with capital murder in connection to the death of a woman found in her Bacliff home. The Galveston County Sheriff's Office (GCSO) announced the arrests of 18-year-old Uriah Urick and 17-year-old Tara King on Sunday. The teens were initially wanted for questioning regarding the death of Tammy King, who was discovered deceased on Wednesday night. Urick and King were located and apprehended in Laredo.
\Deputies responded to a welfare check at a residence on 15th Street in Bacliff around 11 p.m. on Wednesday. Upon arrival, they found Tammy King deceased. Investigators who subsequently examined the scene detected signs of foul play, prompting the GCSO to launch a murder investigation. The GCSO had previously sought Urick and King as 'persons of interest' in the case.\As of now, the cause of Tammy King's death remains undisclosed, and the nature of the connection between the two teenage suspects and the victim has not been revealed.
