Two teenagers have been seriously injured after a bus and an allegedly stolen car collided on the Gold Coast . The black Kia, believed to be stolen, was driving on the Gold Coast Hwy at Palm Beach when it crashed into another car and then into a bus about 11.45pm on Friday. Four teenagers were inside the car when it crashed, according to police. Two boys, aged in their mid-teens, suffered significant head and chest injuries, and were rushed to Gold Coast University Hospital in stable conditions.

A girl in her early teens suffered facial and arm injuries and was also taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition. Queensland Ambulance Service said two other people, a man in his 20s and a man in his 70s, were involved in the crash but were physically uninjured. The southbound lane of the Gold Coast Hwy was shut for a number of hours, but has since reopened, according to police. The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
