An investigation is underway into an attempted carjacking on Queen Anne that left two suspects injured from gunfire. A man trying to keep armed thugs from stealing his sports car on Queen Anne hill early Sunday morning opened fire at the suspects, apparently injuring two of them.
Police say around 3:30 a.m. a group of four masked suspects in a white sedan approached a man who had just parked his vehicle on 1The victim, whom police say was legally-armed, fired shots to defend himself.Police later learned one of them, also suffering from a gunshot wound, had been dropped off at Harborview Medical Center.Medics with the Seattle Fire Department arrived at the scene minutes later and treated the injured suspect’s gunshot wounds. An ambulance transported him to Harborview Medical Center, where he is reported to be in serious condition.Investigators say the attempted carjacking took place after the four suspects had a brief conversation with the victim. A placard with the number “2” likely marks the spot where police recovered a shell casing from the scene of an attempted carjacking on Queen Anne Hill. They say the sports car owner feared for his safety and fired several rounds at the suspects before three of them took off in the white sedan.The second injured suspect who was dropped off at the hospital is also reported to be in serious condition.
