Two men sentenced to 30 years in prison for 2019 Frankfort, New Lenox armed robberies
Two men were sentenced Monday to 30 years in prison for two armed robberies committed in Frankfort and New Lenox in 2019.
The group blocked the woman’s car by cutting in front of her, according to the release. Brown and Matthews, armed with a gun, took her phone and credit card before withdrawing money from the ATM, according to the release.They then took the woman’s car, and, with her still inside, used it for a three-hour armed robbery spree taking cash withdrawals from the woman’s accounts and buying items from different stores in the south suburbs, according to the release.
On Nov. 29, 2019, at about 6 a.m, Brown and Matthews, masked and believed to be carrying a gun, walked up to a man in New Lenox as he walked to his vehicle parked in the driveway and demanded his debit card, according to the release.
