The bodies of the man and woman were found on Wednesday night after emergency services conducted a welfare check at a mooring at Tunks Park, Cammeray, located on Sydney’s north shore.Sign up for Guardian Australia’s free morning and afternoon email newsletters for your daily news roundup “When officers attached to Sydney water police boarded the vessel, they found the bodies of a man and a woman, believed to be aged in their 50s or 60s,” NSW police said in a statement on Thursday.
“Specialist assistance was sought from Fire and Rescue NSW due to concerns about fumes detected on board.” Police were told the two people were spending Monday night on the 47ft yacht and concerns were raised when they didn’t return.
