San Diego’s Urban Plates chain and the Richard Blais-helmed Ember & Rye steakhouse in Carlsbad have announced new burger dishes this summer. For the first time in its 11-year history, Urban Plates has added a cheeseburger to its menu, available with one or two patties and optional herb-seasoned fries. Chef Stephen Gage will pair a three-course tasting menu paired with six tastings of imported rums. Dishes will include yellowtail crudo, grilled pork loin with smoked pork belly and black mission figs with cheese.
